Heike’s Vision: A System for Breakfast, Bar, and Self-Service Terminal

With a clear vision, Heike is automating the beverage service in the VIP Kuhlounge at the Hotel Sonnenalm in Damüls. A single system dispenses breakfast juices on a timed schedule, mixes cocktails in the afternoon, and handles fully automated sales from the self-service refrigerated drawer.

Heike’s Vision: A System for Breakfast, Bar, and Self-Service Terminal

When we met Heike at our partner FHE Gastro`s booth at a food service trade show, we had no idea just how many ideas she would come to us with the very next day. Together with her sister, she was quickly convinced. This could be a good fit.

On the second day, she came in with an A4 sheet full of ideas. From drink recipes to a three-in-one solution combining a breakfast dispenser, a cocktail machine, and a self-service terminal.

Shortly thereafter, we began the project in collaboration with FHE.

The Kiedaisch family has always been a big fan of the village of Damüls.

In fact, Heike’s family has been running the Sonnenheim where we are today since 1953.

Surrounded by stunning mountain scenery, guests are warmly welcomed.

The building is divided into a restaurant, a self-service area, and the legendary VIP Cow Lounge. This is exactly where SERVENIA is in use.

Heike is full of joie de vivre and truly gives her all to offer every single guest a dream vacation. With a great deal of attention to detail. This attention to detail is also reflected in the beverage selection in the VIP Cow Lounge: exclusively for hotel guests.

SERVENIA serves guests fruit juice in the morning and long drinks or classics like the Aperol Spritz in the afternoon. Additionally, it functions as a self-service terminal for beverages from the refrigerated drawer.

Scheduled switch between breakfast service and regular service

SERVENIA automatically switches between breakfast mode and normal operation. From 7 to 11 a.m., fruit juices from Allgäuer Alpenwasser are served for breakfast.

Starting at 11 a.m., the payment system is automatically activated and the drink menu changes. Now guests can choose from a wide variety of drinks, ranging from Aperol Spritz to gin and tonic.

And it’s good. Let me tell you, it’s worth it and it’s fun! Cheers!

SERVENIA - Sonnenalm Damüls

Self-service terminal for the refrigerated drawer

Previously, guests could take a bottle of wine or a cold beer from a refrigerated drawer and then had to write down their order on a list. The bill was settled at checkout.

Now this happens automatically. The guest selects the desired beverage and quantity on the SERVENIA display and, after successful payment, is asked to take the beverages from the refrigerated drawer.
